Registration for both, which are free and open to the public, begins. Contest registration lasts until 1:30 for all categories.
Note that the order of the clinics below may change at the meet.
Presented by Otto Dobnick
Otto is developing a clinic potentially along these lines: “Industrial buildings along the right-of-way; railroad customers”. (Can't wait to see how it comes together - or what develops in it's place - webmaster.)
Presented by Dave Nelson
Open Loads - Open loads on flat cars and gondolas are not only interesting in themselves, but are also potential modeling projects that can make operations more interesting on your layout, and might even make a prize winning model. Dave Nelson will show prototype photos of a wide variety of open loads, with some thoughts on how they can be effectively modeled.
Presented by Steve Miazga
Steve will demonstrate using Microsoft office programs for your hobby. Use of Excel, Publisher and other programs to prepare operations plans, fool with photos, put together documentation for merit awards, etc.
Maps distributed at 4 p.m.
As you pull into the Four Points Sheraton Hotel parking lot drive past the Front Doors and continue on down this side drive (you'll actually be coming from back to front in this picture).
You'll see on the right this overhang with "Conference Center" upon it - that's our entrance. (If you happen to park out front by the Front Doors you can still get to our rooms - it's just a much longer walk with stairs involved.)
Upon entering the building (the left side of this photo) our 3 rooms will be in the left corner (the center of this photo). Just to the left the column (the center of this picture) are the bathrooms and water fountains. (Yes I wrote something other then bubblers.....;)
