The Wisconsin Southeastern (WISE) Division was chartered in 1966 and is a 501.c3 organization that is part of a larger non-profit organization called the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). The NMRA and the WISE Division engages in the preservation, perpetuation, and enjoyment of the hobby of model railroading, rail fanning, and the education of railroading.

The WISE Division sponsors monthly meets for its members as well as the public at no charge. These monthly meets provide an opportunity for the members and the public to get involved and learn more about model railroading as well as the real railroads. In addition to the sponsored monthly meets, the WISE Division sponsors a model railroad show called, TRAINFEST® . The revenue from TRAINFEST is used to finance the monthly meets and donations to other railroad related activities.
